Seoki Konpeito
BBD: 30/11/22
Seoki Konpeito is a colourful sugar confectionery that was introduced from Portugal during the Muromachi period. By rolling the dough in a cauldron for many days while applying heat and sprinkling honey, the characteristic "weapon" of konpeito is produced. Moderately sweet, this candy is a nostalgic treat for those who grew up in Japan.
